SUMMARY
The IT Manager is responsible for driving, executing, and realizing the company's technical vision and strategy for new and existing restaurants.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain equipment and network topologies
- Perform quality control evaluations, write and establish specifications, assist in the validation of quality control tests, and write Standard Operating Procedures
- Assist management at all locations with technical issues and maintenance
- Establish scope and objectives to determine strategies for implementing systems and new technologies that achieve business goals
- Develop and implement network security policies, protect from unauthorized access, monitor usage, and resolves access issues in compliance with PCI requirements
- Create, manage, and execute project plans to support the ongoing needs of the IT department
- Coordinate resources, establish deadlines, and assign responsibilities
- Explore, research, and incorporate emerging technologies, systems, and procedures
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networks (WLAN, LAN)
- Audit the performance of IT infrastructure, systems, and policies versus established corporate standards for productivity, accuracy, stability, and security
- Interpret technical jargon into business terms to communicate effectively with senior management and the Executive Team
- Procure and manage external vendors and IT support
- Design, develop, and maintain email network; establish user accounts and security guidelines, track server performance, and provide first-level resolution for issues
- Install and configure POS Systems to ensure system integrity, compatibility, and standardization
- Resolve network performance issues and establish a disaster recovery plan
- Install, test, upgrade, and configure corporate and office computers
- Work directly with Executives on projects as assigned
- Train management and hourly staff periodically on systems and processes related to IT
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant technical knowledge preferred, usually obtained through schooling, certification, and/or five years of applicable experience
- Experience working with Log Me In and Microsoft Exchange Servers
- Strong base in network fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Experience with some web design and maintenance preferred
- Ability to terminate network cables and install network equipment
- Future-oriented leader adept at reacting proactively to change
- Ability to multi-task and handle competing deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ethical demeanor capable of preserving confidentiality
- Ability to maintain a pleasant, polite demeanor and attitude for interacting with public as well as staff
- Ability to take direction and participate as part of a team
- Must maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public
